Drainage Engineer Jobs UK – CCTV Surveyor & Jetting Vacancies

Commercial drainage engineers maintain and repair drainage infrastructure for facilities management contractors, local authorities, and water utilities. Core work includes CCTV drain surveys coded to WRc specification, high-pressure water jetting, root cutting, lining, and excavation-based repairs. Many roles require confined space certification and full driving licence for mobile work.

NADC Certified Drain Surveyor (or equivalent WRc-accredited qualification) is required for most CCTV survey roles. High-pressure jetting operators typically need Water Jetting Association (WJA) cards. NRSWA Street Works qualifications are required for work in the highway. Drainage engineer salaries range from £28,000–£38,000 for operatives to £40,000–£52,000 for experienced CCTV surveyors and team leaders.
